Custom Reports in Visual Studio

What is Visual Studio

Visual Studio, also known as Microsoft Visual Studio and VS, is a tool Casa Esperanza is using as the platform for writing and pulling custom reports from Evolv data. 

Who Can Access Visual Studio

Access to Visual Studio is given to specific staff, including 

• Chief Operating Officer
• Chief Clinical Officer 
• Director of Technology
• Clinical Operations Director 

If additional staff need access to Visual Studios, their supervisor may send a request to the Director of Technology. 

How to Access Visual Studio 

Visual Studio can only be accessed through the Remote Server.

1. Log in to the remote server
2. Click on the "Search" button at the bottom of the home screen 
3. Search for and select "Visual Studio"
4. When Visual Studio opens, Click on "Evolv_CS" in the left side navigation bar
   
5. When the Security Warning pops up, click "Okay"

How to View Reports

1. On  the right side will be a list of report names
   
   
2. Double click on the name of the report you want to open 
3. When the report opens, click on the "Preview" tab 
   
   
   
4. Enter the date range for the report 
   
   
   
5. Click "View Report"

How to Save Reports 

1. Click on the "Save" button
2. Select "Excel"
3. Save the document to the Desktop
4. Once the report is saved
1. Close or minimize Visual Studio
2. Right click on the saved document on the remote desktop 
3. Minimize the Remote window 
4. Right click on your computer's desktop
5. Paste the document
